Carpentaria
Seafaris boats start with their new, yet to be named mother ship
under construction, a 62 foot Catamaran cruiser with luxuries like
ensuite cabins and more comfort to offer than vessels half as big
again! Owner / Skipper Greg has been looking for years now to upgrade
The Mist but cannot find anything that holds a candle
to the "Mist" until now, Click
here to see full details.
Fully
surveyed and licensed to carry guests in absolute comfort and safety,
fitted with all modern conveniences like air-conditioning, 240 volt
power, hot water, CD player, TVs and videos, tons of refrigeration,
ice, full size household toilets, large airy 2 bed cabins with cupboards
for everyone to put their gear away, large comfortable house hold
size beds with personal reading lights. Dining and Lounge seating
for full complement and an enormous shaded upper deck relaxation
/ entertainment / barbecue area 10 x 6.4m (33 x 21 foot).
She
will be your home away from home, whilst you fish the fish rich
waters of Cape York Peninsular in Australia's remote far north.
The
Skiffs
Our fleet of custom skiffs have all been built by Greg to his exacting
standard. No aluminum 'dinghies' with a bit of PVC pipe screwed
to the side as a rod holder and an after market swivel seat and
calling it a "custom" sport fisher. All our skiffs are
custom built fiberglass, designed after the Florida Keys style flats
boats. Powered by late model 30 and 40 hp outboards, super stable,
shoal draft with large casting decks and no hook ups for fly fishing!
There are 7 of these skiffs and only ever 2 anglers in each. Guides
take 2 anglers at a time driving the skiff and rowing "Mackenzie"
boat style, standing in the middle of a skiff with an angler on
the fore and another on the aft casting decks.
Whether
casting at the snags or drifting down on tailing Permit, our guidance
and experience will position you in relation to the fish, so you
can get on with the job of having FUN. Other skiffs are self drive.
Armed with a map and local knowledge, you will be off doing your
own thing in the user friendly, safe inshore estuaries and river
systems the Cape has to offer. Believe me, choosing a spot, looking
at the current and tide, selecting a lure or fly and catching that
trophy fish is much more rewarding than a guide saying, "tie
this on and cast there". If you have the stamina, you are free
to fish from dawn, till after dusk, 15 hours, times 6 days......Good
luck!!!!
